Camp Foster had it's annual "Foster Fest" this weekend. It is free and open to everyone on the island. It is just one of many weekend activities planned by the Marine Corps Community Services. There were a lot of live performances by local Japanese groups, food, and games.
Grant had a blast on a trampoline harness jump. It went very high and he had a huge smile on his face the whole time! He tried to do a few back flips but couldn't make it all the way around on his own, maybe next year.
Will didn't seem to get into it as much as Grant.
Most of the food was not your typical American style fair/festival food. The stands had a lot of Japanese food that was fun to sample.
Grant also had fun on the "choo-choo train".

Sandy,
It sounds like things are going well for you guys. Congratulations on getting into your own house I lived by the beach for awhile once and the description of your house made me feel the breeze and taste the salt water when I would wake up in the mornings again - I loved it! I got so attached to the tides that it took me awhile to adjust to Minnesota again!
I am wondering if you have time to do me a huge favor? My niece has a geography/travel journal project where the recipient of the journal is asked to write a journal entry about their city and send a post card from their city to her school and then pass the journal along. Would you have time/be willing to participate in the project?
I hate to forward the journal if you won't have a chance to get to it or it just isn't your thing (which of course is fine - I'll just send it to someone else.) Let me know what you think and I can either send it to someone else; I can send it to you; or you can just email me an entry and send a postcard to my niece and I'll take care of sending it along to someone else (if that would be easier - since if I send the journal to you, the instructions ask that you send it to someone else). Anyway just let me know.
I can't believe how big the boys are getting!
Thanks!
